Spark Weekly Update 🔔 May 10, 2025
How Time Flies!
Welcome to the 2nd Spark weekly update! May is already more than half over, and we have a couple things we'd like to share with you.
Please Help Spark
First and foremost, and as always, Spark wishes to thank you and ask for your continued support. We're a bit like the mobility equipment and disability support version of public radio: we rely on our community and grants for the financial resources that sustain our mission: Spark receives no federal funding.
Those resources ($ 🙂) help someone get a wheelchair, a hospital bed, low-vision equipment, a walker, a scooter, etc. Purchasing or renting such items is often unaffordable to many of our neighbors, many of whom who do not have insurance, or their insurance might not cover the items they need.
The mission of Spark is to connect people with disabilities to the adaptive tools and technology needed to live life with maximum independence and dignity.
Global Accessibility Awareness Day
Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) was on Thursday, May 15, 2025, but here in our world at Spark, every day we are reminded of the importance of digital access/inclusion in the lives of the people we serve who have various disabilities. You can learn more about GAAD here:

Spark is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies mostly on small donations from those in need in our community. Help support Spark's mission now.
